Stay healthier by taking time to relax
Researchers have discovered that events such as pleasant family celebrations or evenings with friends boost the immune system for the following two days. Unpleasant moments had the opposite effect and seemed to weaken the immune function for one day afterwards. So stay healthier by taking time to relax and enjoy yourself and the company of friends and family often. Create a Home Spa for yourself: Lavender has been used as a relaxing agent by herbalists, naturopaths and aroma therapists for centuries. If you are planning on spending a quiet evening at home. Have a nice long soak in a Lavender Mineral Bath (recipe below) and then throw a handful of crushed dried lavender buds or stems into your fireplace; grab a blanket and a good book and curl up by the fire. Home Spa Recipes: Soak in a Lavender Mineral Bath: Combine a half cup of Epsom Salts with 1/2 cup of Sea Salt Minerals. Add 30 drops of lavender essential oil. Allow mixture to sit overnight to absorb the oils and use by the handful in a warm bath. Relaxing Foot Soak: Soak your feet in very warm saltwater and add a handful of dried rosemary and lavender. This is an awesome skin softening treatment :) |
